Children's Liturgy: Sunday Mass
Children’s Liturgy - for Primary School children:
The Liturgy is adapted especially for children to understand.
They will also learn the prayers of the Mass such as
The Confiteor and The Creed. The children will be given
the opportunity to read the Prayers of the Faithful and the other readings of the Mass in the Hall and, if they wish to, will be encouraged to read in the Church - once a month - when the Children’s Liturgy takes part in the Mass in the Church,
instead of the Hall.
Please encourage your children to come along and ensure that they are in the Hall 10 minutes before Mass starts. Some weeks, as you will see from the timetable, they will be in the Church. On those days, please take your children into the Church with you. Thank you.
St. Peter's CHILDREN'S LITURGY
in the Church Hall.
Please bring your child to the Hall by 9.50am.
There is a list of dates available at the back of the Church.
Coming to the Children’s Liturgy will help your children to understand the readings of the day, as they will be explained in a more child-friendly way. They will also learn the common prayers of
the Mass and will be encouraged to ask questions. All this helps them to feel more included
and involved in the Mass.
Please think seriously about sending your children to Children’s Liturgy; it is an important part of their Faith Formation.
Many thanks to all the leaders
who willingly give so much of their time to our children.
