warmly invite you to spend a short time in prayer
to reflect and pray on a variety of themes.A series of themed Evenings of Reflection and Prayer will be held between
7 September 2016 and 3 May 2017.Led by Carol Ann McLaren & Catherine Nolan, all sessions will be held on
Wednesday evenings
in the Parish Hall
7pm - 8.15pm.
Please feel free to attend on one or more of these evenings.

2016 - 2017 Programme/Reflection Themes:
7/09/16 Called to Holiness
“Be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect” Matt 5:48
We will reflect on what holiness and perfection are through the help of Saints of old and through our own dear Mother Teresa who was declared saint on 4 September 2016.
2/11/16 Year of Mercy
The Year of Mercy comes to a close on 20 November. This evening allows us the opportunity to reflect on what the past year has meant to us and what endeavours we will make in the future as a result. We will refer to quotes from Pope Francis and Gospel stories to help us.
11/01/17 New Beginnings
How many of our New Year’s Resolutions are to do with our relationship with God? This evening allows us to stop after all the festivities and through help of Ignatian Imaginative contemplation discover a little of what God wants from each of us personally.
8/03/17 Lenten Reflection on the Trinity - FATHER
We begin our Lenten reflection on the Trinity by looking at God the Father and by utilising scripture and prayer we will hope to come to a better understanding of God the Father as the first part of the Trinity and the personal part He plays in our lives.
15/03/17 Lenten reflection on the Trinity - SON
We now look at God the Son and through reflecting on Lenten scriptures we discover His relationship with His Father. We will allow ourselves time through Ignatian prayer to focus on our relationship with God the Son and perhaps to learn how to deepen that relationship.
22/03/17 Lenten reflection on the Trinity - HOLY SPIRIT
“Abba Father send your spirit Glory Jesus Christ” We will reflect on the gift of the Holy Spirit to sustain us in our lives. We will then bring together all we have learned and pray that the Most Holy Trinity will enrich our lives.
3/05/17 Mary Our Mother
In this Holy month dedicated to Our Lady, we reflect on Mary as our mother through scripture, prayer and music. We will reflect on the mysteries of light and what they mean for us in the world. We will slowly and prayerfully pray the Rosary, focussing a little on its origins within the Dominican family.
