ACN Solidarity Prayer
Please join
Aid to the Church in Need
in prayer and ask God to protect the Christian people in the Middle East who are suffering discrimination and oppression because of their faith:
Heavenly Father, we ask that you sustain, comfort and heal the hearts of Christians in the Middle East who are living in fear of the Islamic State. We especially remember those in Iraq and Syria.
May we in Scotland be encouraged by their example and may we never take for granted the freedom we have to follow you.
Come Holy Spirit and fill the hearts of thy faithful and enkindle in them thy love and mercy.
Compassionate creator, please forgive those who persecute Christians, reach out to them with your grace and your love.
We ask all this through your Son, Jesus. Amen

The Bishops of Scotland are keen wish to inform teachers and students looking to teach in Catholic schools about gaining the Catholic Teacher’s Certificate in Religious Education (CTC)
There are two options: (i) the Certificate in Religious Education by Distance-learning (CREDL)

It is an on-line distance learning course and covers Aspects of Theological Education over two semesters.
Applicants should enrol on both courses at the start of semester 1.
Cost £200. (£455 with a subsidy of £255 from the applicant’s Diocese.)
