Lorna Heron (St. Paul's Parish) became a full member of the Catholic Church at tonight's Easter Vigil when she undertook the Sacraments of Initiation - Baptised, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.
Today 12 pupils in Primary 6/7 enthusiastically volunteered to help Canon Eddie re-enact the Last Supper event when Jesus washed the feet of His disciples. It was a very effective way to bring the gospel passage to life for all the children and to help them understand more fully the significance of this loving gesture of humility and service.
As part of the prayer and catechesis for the new initiative “Making All Things New” Bishop John has visited each Cluster Area to celebrate Mass. St. Peter's Parish was host to the St. Andrew's Cluster Mass followed by an opportunity for all to enjoy a get-together & buffet in the Parish Hall. The St. Andrew's Cluster includes the Parishes of: St. Peter’s, St. Paul’s, St. Charles’, St. Fergus’, St. Mirin’s Cathedral, St. James’ & St. Mary's.
St. Teresa has so much to teach us today. In this troubled and manic world her famous words “Let nothing disturb you... God alone is enough” could not be more true.
